
While living in Japan I bought a Yamaha MD8 digital 8-track machine which was a huge leap forward from the 4-track analogue equipment I had been using. It did take me a while to switch over from the familiar to the new gear.
This second phase of Warhorse didn’t produce many albums, in part because my family situation was less conducive to spending long hours in solute working on music. And moreover my CD projects became my main musical focus. As a result three of the four albums during this period were collections of songs I was trying out for the CD projects.
In 2012 I bought Sony Acid and Cubase so thereafter I no longer used hardware for recording.
