For fun in 2015 I recorded what expanded into a seven volume collection of covers making use of midi files I found online for the backing tracks. Using midi files is like colour-by-numbers in that they are the blueprints for the music, but I then have to assign the virtual instruments in Cubase and add effects and such. And naturally add my own vocals to create the finish product.

After doing 5 volumes of Reinventing the Wheel, I felt there was more material I wanted to do. And thus I added two volumes of Spare Tyres.

I’m tempted to do another series in the future.
